Technology

Attend InfraManager (AIM) uses an innovative, patented combination of hardware and software technologies to deliver the asset management tools you need – directly to your browser.

AIM is the only DCIM product with technology that:

  • determines the precise location of each rack mounted asset;
  • immediately detects the addition or removal of an asset from a rack;
  • automatically updates changes in the asset's location, in real-time, without human intervention.

In the data center, rack controllers monitor electronic ID tags that are attached to each asset in the rack. The controllers transmit status information directly and securely to the AIM Server. AIM’s Web-based user interface enables you to monitor and track the precise location of each asset securely and in real-time.

Because the software interface is delivered as a service to your PC’s or handheld’s browser, you can access AIM from anywhere. The built-in Virtual Rack provides real-time, remote visibility to the status and content of any rack, in any location, at any time. Intelligent security notifications are easily configured to alert you if assets are added, moved or removed anywhere within your data centers. This allows you to plan and manage changes and respond quickly to any unplanned or unauthorized activity. AIM’s reporting module helps you quickly create accurate inventory, compliance, exceptions and audit reports based on automated, precise, real-time information.

The electronic ID tags include a LED light which can be remotely activated and provides a visual-cue, enabling on-site personnel to quickly and efficiently find and verify an asset. Each electronic ID tag is equipped with an air temperature sensor that measures device-level air intake temperature and alerts you to variances within a configurable temperature range. Alerts are also sent if the electronic ID tag is tampered with or removed without authorization.

AIM is delivered as Plug-and-Play, Software-as-a-Service package and can be hosted in the Cloud by Attend Systems or behind a customer’s firewall.

The ease of installation and simplicity of AIM makes deployment easy and user adoption seamless and is scalable within any organization. It does not require calibration or complex installations, and it’s not affected by radio frequency interferences, reinforced structures or metal.
